During a conversation with WSJ Magazine’s The One (presented with Mytheresa), the 65-year-old momager revealed some advice she gave to the 40-year-old reality star as she goes through her divorce from Kanye West, and that’s to always put the kids first.
“I think the most important thing I learned through my experience, both of my experiences, is that the kids come first,” Kris said, who shared Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Rob with first husband the late Robert Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie with ex Caitlyn Jenner.
“If you keep that in the front of your mind and know that they are going to get you through, the love is going to get you through, you know, no matter how much you’re hurting,” Kris continued.
“I used to put everybody to bed, and then I would be upset or go to my room and cry myself to sleep,” Kris revealed. “But I didn’t want to have a pity party in front of the kids.”
Kris was the first Kardashian-Jenner family member to break their silence after Kim filed for divorce from Kanye back in February after nearly seven years of marriage.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Kanye responded to Kim‘s divorce filing with a petition of his own.
