There’s a major update in the dognapping of two of Lady Gaga‘s beloved dogs back in February.
You probably remember that Gaga‘s dogwalker Ryan Fischer was walking the entertainer’s three dogs in Los Angeles on February 24. A car pulled up next to him and two men got out and attacked him. Ryan was shot in the chest and the attackers fleed with two of the dogs while the third dog was able to escape.
Gaga announced a $500,000 reward for the safe return of her dogs and days later, the two stolen dogs were brought to a police station after being found in an alley.
It was announced on Thursday (April 29) that five people in total were arrested by LAPD and one of the arrests is going to surprise you.

Three of the five people arrested were the ones who were involved in the actual dognapping and shooting of Ryan Fischer. TMZ reports that they have been booked for attempted murder and robbery.
One of the five people is reportedly the father of one of the alleged dognappers. It is believed that he contacted a woman and recruited her to drop off the dogs at the police station and claim the reward money. When the dogs were returned, it was initially believed that the woman had no association to the dognapping, but now it seems that theory has changed.
TMZ says that cops claim “the father and the 3 people booked for attempted murder are all known gang members.”
